- High quality hormone and chemical free, grass fed, free range meats and organs
- Pesticide and chemical free vegetables
- Marine Phytoplankton (for Omega 3 and essential fatty acids)
- Red Lentils
Lean Meats are Essential in Natural, Grain Free Dog Food
A diet high in fat can lead to obesity, cardiovascular problems, mucus in their poop and various other health issues. We use locally sourced chemical and hormone free lean beef mince and chicken mince. Our meats are human grade and contains only 10% fat as dogs have a lot of trouble digesting fat.
The meat and organs is cooked slowly and lightly so as to retain all the essential nutrients needed by your dog.
Dogs will Eat Vegetables Naturally
It is very important to give our dogs a balanced diet. That also involves balancing the acidic ingredients with the alkaline ones. Proteins like beef and chicken tend to make dogs bodies more acidic, whereas the vegetable we use in our grain free dog food will have an alkalinizing effect on their bodies. This especially essential to the heart, liver, kidneys pancreas and hormones, which function better in an alkaline environment.
Dog’s tummies can’t process vegetables and fibre the same way humans do so we blend the vegetables down and cook them slowly, so that they are gentle and easy for the dogs tummy to absorb and digest. Our veggies include;
Kale and seasonal leafy greens - full of Vitamin A (for eye and skin health), Vitamin C (immune system functions), Vitamin K (support blood clotting and healing), Calcium (supports bone health), Potassium (heart health), Iron (helps deliver oxygen in the blood), Magnesium (healthy heart and brain), Glucosinolates (which inhibit growth of certain cancers) and Soluble Fibre (good for sensitive digestion)
Sweet potato - which are High in Fibre, Anti-Oxidents (which aid healing, cancer prevention and fight the effects of aging) and Vitamins A, C and B6 (associated with the production of red blood cells, healthy brain processes and a healthy immune and nervous system)
Cauliflower - which is also High in Fibre, Calcium, Potassium, Vitamin K and Folate (Assists pregnant dogs. Is also known to help with low cholesterol, hardening of the arteries, cataracts and depression)

Tumeric - has anti-inflammatory properties which aid in the reduction of pain from arthritis and stiff joints.
Lentils - are a good source of Protein, Iron and Fibre as well as helping to create an Alkaline environment. They also contain Selenium which reduce tumor growth, prevents inflammation and improves immune system response.
Why we add Marine Phytoplankton to our Grain Free Dog Food
Phytoplankton is one of the most valuable sources of nutrition on earth and it’s incredibly high in nutrition and health benefits. They contain:
- Essential fatty acids
- Trace minerals
- Essential amino acids
It also contains Omega-3 essential fatty acids. These fatty acids support the entire immune system and cognitive functions, as well as heart, skin and joint health. They also reduce inflammation in the body, minimizing the risk of chronic diseases.
Why give our dogs Phytoplankton instead of the more commonly used Fish Oils?
- Phytoplankton contains nearly double the amount of Omega-3 by weight as fish oil
- When fish oil is exposed to oxygen, it oxidizes, which increases inflammation in dogs
- Fish accumulate environmental contaminants during their lifespan such as heavy metals and toxins.
- Phytoplankton that we use is grown in man-made ponds, containing pure, distilled water with added marine minerals and trace elements. This way, they will not contain any of the pollutants that we find in our oceans today.
This alternative source of Omega-3 also helps our environment but not adding pressure to the already over fished oceans. Many environment organizations have provided evidence that some species (such as Sardines) are being overfished to supply the market with Omega-3 Fish Oil. You probably don’t realize that it takes 600 sardines to make one 500mg bottle of Omega-3 Fish Oil!
